Programming One-Boat Network Buttons

This article provides the steps to programming the One-Boat Network Button on compatible Foot Pedals and Advanced GPS Navigation Wireless Remotes.

Customizing One-Boat Network Button to Control Raptor

Pairing Raptor to Trolling Motor

  1. Retract the spike(s) on the Raptor(s) by pressing the Up button on the Indicator Panel. 
  2. To pair the Wireless Remote to the Raptor, press the PAIR button on the Indicator Panel. The PAIR/ Maintenance LED will begin to flash blue.
  3. The Raptor and will go into Pairing Mode for 30 seconds.
  4. Locate the Pair Button on the top of the Control Head. Press and hold the Pair button. A consistent tone will be emitted from the Control Head. 
  5. The Control Head will scan for the Raptor. Once successfully paired, three longer beeps will be emitted from the Control Head and the Raptor will be paired.
  6. If 30 seconds pass while in Pairing Mode and the pair is unsuccessful, a chirp from the Raptor will sound signaling that the Pairing has timed out.
  7. If the Pair is unsuccessful, repeat the process. When pairing is successful proceed to pairing the motor to Mobile Phone.

Pairing Motor to Mobile Phone

  1. Access Bluetooth Pairing on you mobile device.
    • IOS-
      1. Select Settings
      2. Select Bluetooth
      3. Turn on Bluetooth
      4. proceed to motor pairing Step 2
    • Android-
      1. Select Settings
      2. Select Bluetooth
      3. Turn on Bluetooth
      4. proceed to motor pairing Step 2
  2. Locate the Pair Button on the top of the Control Head. Press and hold the Pair button. A consistent tone will be emitted from the Control Head.  
  3. While continuing to hold the pair button on the Control Head, Watch for the motor to display as discoverable under the Bluetooth Phone Settings.
  4. Once the moto appears as an available device on the phone, select it. If the pairing is successful, the motor will show as connected in the phone’s Bluetooth settings.

Programming One-Boat Network Button from One-Boat Network App

  1. With the trolling motor on, open the One-Boat Network (OBN) app on the mobile device. Make sure the mobile device is paired with the trolling motor.
  2. From the OBN home screen, tap the Motor menu. The Motor menu opens the Motor app home screen. 
  3. Before the Motor app home screen will open, tap Agree on the on-screen prompt. 
  4. On the Motor app home screen, locate the Motor Settings button in the top-right corner and tap it. 
  5. On an Android, in Motor Settings, locate “One-Boat Network Button” and tap it. 
  6. On iOS, in Motor Settings, locate “Foot Pedal” and tap it. 
  7. In the One-Boat Network Button menu, choose Deploy/ Retract Raptor. The radio button next to the selected function will be highlighted. Note: When pairing One-Boat Network Foot Pedal Button for use with Raptor or Talon Shallow water anchors the motor first needs to be paired with the Raptor(s) or Talon(s).

Pairing Bluetooth Talon to Advanced GPS Navigation Trolling Motor

  1. Retract the spike(s) on the Talon(s) by pressing the Up button on the Indicator Panel. 
  2. On the Talon (or one of the Talons if 2 paired together) press and hold the Up button and the Down button simultaneously on the Indicator Panel. The Depth Indication LEDs will begin to flash blue. Release the buttons on the Indicator Panel when the LEDs are flashing. The Talon will go into Pairing Mode for 20 seconds.
  3. Power up the trolling motor.
  4. Locate the Pair button at the top of the Control Head. Push and hold the Pair button down. The Control Head will emit a consistent tone and scan for the Talon. 
  5. If a signal with three fast beeps occurs, the Talon and Control Head have successfully paired. The LEDs on the Indicator Panel of the Talon will perform a sequence to confirm that the Control Head and Talon are paired.
  6. If 20 seconds pass while in Pairing Mode and the Talon and Control Head do not successfully pair, a chirp will sound, signaling that the Pairing has timed out.
  7. If the Pair is unsuccessful, repeat the process. If successful the Talon will now show connected in the Phone. 

Pairing Motor to Mobile Phone

  1. Access Bluetooth Pairing on you mobile device.
    • IOS:
      1. Select Settings
      2. Select Bluetooth
      3. Turn on Bluetooth
      4. proceed to motor pairing Step 2
    • Android:
      1. Select Settings
      2. Select Bluetooth
      3. Turn on Bluetooth
      4. proceed to motor pairing Step 2
  2. Locate the Pair Button on the top of the Control Head. Press and hold the Pair button. A consistent tone will be emitted from the Control Head.  
  3. While continuing to hold the pair button on the Control Head, Watch for the Raptor to display as discoverable under the Bluetooth Phone Settings.
  4. One the Talon show as a device to select on the phone Select the Raptor on the Phone. If successful the Talon will now show connected in the Phone. 

Programming One-Boat Network Button from One-Boat Network App

  1. With the trolling motor on, open the One-Boat Network (OBN) app on the mobile device. Make sure the mobile device is paired with the trolling motor.
  2. From the OBN home screen, tap the Motor menu. The Motor menu opens the Motor app home screen. 
  3. Before the Motor app home screen will open, tap Agree on the on-screen prompt. 
  4. On the Motor app home screen, locate the Motor Settings button in the top-right corner and tap it. 
  5. On an Android, in Motor Settings, locate “One-Boat Network Button” and tap it. 
  6. On iOS, in Motor Settings, locate “Foot Pedal” and tap it. 
  7. In the One-Boat Network Button menu, choose Deploy/ Retract Talon. Programming Foot Pedal Buttons for Auto Pilot or Marking Way Points

  1. With the trolling motor on, open the One-Boat Network (OBN) app on the mobile device. Make sure the mobile device is paired with the trolling motor.
  2. From the OBN home screen, tap the Motor menu. The Motor menu opens the Motor app home screen. 
  3. Before the Motor app home screen will open, tap Agree on the on-screen prompt. 
  4. On the Motor app home screen, locate the Motor Settings button in the top-right corner and tap it. 
  5. On an Android, in Motor Settings, locate “One-Boat Network Button” and tap it. 
  6. On iOS, in Motor Settings, locate “Foot Pedal” and tap it. 
  7. In the One-Boat Network Button menu, choose Auto Pilot or Mark Waypoint. The radio button next to the selected function will be highlighted.

  1. Press and hold the OBN button on the remote you want to program or
    1. On the Wireless Remote, press the Menu button to open the Motor Menu.

    2. In the Motor Menu, use the Speed Down or Speed Up button to find the Motor Settings menu. Use the Steer Right button to select Motor Settings.

    3. In the Motor Settings menu, use the Speed Down or Speed Up button to find One-Boat Network. Use the Steer Right button to select One-Boat Network.

    4. In the One-Boat Network Menu, use the Speed Down or Speed Up button to find Remote Buttons. Use the Steer Right button to select Remote Buttons.

    5. Use the Speed Down or Speed Up button to highlight the OBN button to customize. There are four options: Button 1, Button 2, Button 3 or Side Button. Press the Steer Right button to make the selection.

  2. Use the Speed Down or Speed Up button to scroll through the options. Use the Steer Right button to select the function.

  3. Press and hold the Menu button to close and return to the Home Screen.

Customize Your TargetLock Foot Pedal or Remote

The One Boat Network button on your MEGA Live 2 TargetLock Remote and/or Foot Pedal is customizable. It can be programed to return your transducer to the home position, mark waypoints, enable/disable pinging, sweep your transducer, or enable Minn Kota Steer. 

Steps to program One-Boat Network Button for MEGA Live 2 TargetLock Remote and Foot Pedal

  1. Press the HOME key on your Humminbird Unit. 
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Sonar > TargetLock.

 

  1. Under One-Boat Network Button, select Foot Pedal or Remote.
  2. Tap, or use the Cursor pad/Joystick and ENTER key, to select an option.
