SOLIX G3 Series Family Software Update 7.400

Minn Kota and Humminbird have been fishing partners for decades. Now, Minn Kota brings the power of Humminbird Imaging™ into one integrated fishing system, bringing trolling motors, fish finders, sonar, mapping, shallow water anchors and more together in a single, seamless experience - all under the Minn Kota brand.

The integrated Minn Kota System connects what your fish finder sees with what your trolling motor does, using sonar and mapping information to enable compatible auto-navigation and precise boat positioning so you can stay focused on fishing.

This update is a performance, reliability, and new feature update that is recommended for Humminbird SOLIX G3 owners.

New and Updated Features Introduced with Version 7.400

Wirelessly Connect Minn Kota and Humminbird Fish Finders to Minn Kota Trolling Motors:

  • Wireless networking connects your fish finder and trolling motor controls without an Ethernet cable, giving you command and control of your entire boat through one connected experience.  Your fishing setup is dependable and cleaner with less cables.

Draw & Navigate

  • Get to your spots more simply than ever!  Just draw a course with your finger right on your fish finder and the motor takes over navigating along the path with your Minn Kota trolling motor.

    Intelligent Depth Control

    • Navigate new and unfamiliar waters with confidence, avoiding shallow water and protecting your equipment. Intelligent Depth Control detects depth changes, alerts you to shallow water, and if necessary, automatically engages Spot-Lock® and deploys your shallow water anchors.

    3D Contours

    • Creates a 3D-like view of the bottom with contours for a clearer read of the terrain. Added detail helps quickly identify break lines, river channels, mid-lake structure, and points—more context to find fish.

Engine Gauges

  • The previous Instrument Views have been completely redesigned and upgraded to all-new Engine Views. These new views deliver a modern appearance, enhanced functionality, and improved responsiveness to data inputs compared to previous engine and instrument views. Additionally, NMEA 2000 support has been expanded and improved for a wider range of engines and devices. Engine Views are available in both full- and half-pane layouts. Each gauge and indicator can be customized to display the information most important to you, and the color palette can be tailored to match your boat's aesthetic.

Sonar Syncing

  • Easily use more than one Live Sonar transducer at the same time without interference.  Also requires an update to your MEGA Live 2 transducer.

On Boarding / First Time Setup

  • When setting up Minn Kota and Humminbird fish finders after updating to 7.400, setting up the Minn Kota Integrated System to ensure you're getting the most out of your equipment is now easier than ever.  You will be guided through updating software, selecting preferences, configuring settings, connecting trolling motors & shallow water anchors, and setting up features like Intelligent Depth Control and Battery Monitoring.

    Intelligent Depth Control

Updated Top Bar – On/Off/Auto Close Support

NMEA 2000 XTE Output – PGN 129283

  • Support for Cross Track Error (XTE) PGN 129283.  This PGN, in conjunction with PGN 129284 and 129285 are intended to support NMEA 2000 autopilot systems connected to Minn Kota and Humminbird fish finders.
