Why Does My Depth Highlight Not Match the Selected Depth?

Your Depth Highlight may appear at a different depth than the setting you selected when the map is zoomed out. At broader zoom levels, fewer contour lines are displayed to reduce map clutter, so the nearest available contour may be highlighted instead.

For the most accurate Depth Highlight display, zoom in closer to the area you are viewing.

Example

If you select a 5-foot Depth Highlight, but the current zoom level only displays a 10-foot contour, the 10-foot contour may be highlighted.

Zooming in can display additional contour detail and provide a closer match to your selected Depth Highlight.
