First-generation ICE HELIX 5 and ICE HELIX 7 units cannot be updated to add the features found on ICE HELIX G2 models. The G2 features are hardware-based, so they cannot be added to a G1 model through a software or firmware update.

Can an ICE HELIX First Generation Be Updated to G2?
No. There is no software update available that will add ICE HELIX G2 features to a first-generation:
- ICE HELIX 5
- ICE HELIX 7
Updating the software on a G1 unit will not convert it to a G2 model or add G2-specific features.
Why Can't G2 Features Be Added?
The additional features found in ICE HELIX G2 models are hardware-based.
Because these features depend on different hardware, they cannot be added to a first-generation ICE HELIX through a software or firmware update.

To use the hardware-based features available on an ICE HELIX G2, you will need a G2 model.
