Compatibility

The Bluetooth Talon Remote is compatible with all Bluetooth-enabled Talons (2018-present). It allows seamless control of Talon features such as deployment, retraction, and mode selection. However, it is not compatible with older Talon models (2011-2017) that lack Bluetooth functionality. This remote ensures efficient operation and enhances the user experience for modern Talon systems.

Pair and Clear Talons and Remotes

Pairing Talons and remotes is essential to establish communication between the devices, enabling seamless control and functionality. It ensures the remote is properly linked to the Talon, allowing you to efficiently operate features like deployment and retraction.

Clearing pairings is helpful if you're experiencing issues with control, switching to a new remote, or connecting the Talon to a different device. This ensures smooth operation by removing unnecessary or incorrect connections.

Pair to One Talon

  1. Retract the anchor on the Talon by pressing the Up button.
  2. Once the Talon is fully retracted, press and hold the Up button and the Down button on the Remote at the same time until the Talon Selection LEDs on the Remote begin to scroll. Then release them.
  3. Immediately press and hold the Up button and the Down button simultaneously on the Indicator Panel. The Depth Indication LEDs will begin to flash blue. Once the LEDs are flashing release the buttons on the Indicator Panel. The Talon and Remote will go into Pairing Mode for 20 seconds. If a signal with three fast beeps occurs, the Talon and Remote have successfully paired. If 20 seconds pass while in Pairing Mode and they do not successfully pair, a chirp will sound signaling that the Pairing has timed out.
  4. If the Pair is unsuccessful, repeat the process.

Pair to Two Talons

  1. Retract the anchor on both Talons by pressing the Up button.
  2. Once both Talons are fully retracted, press and hold the Up button and the Down button on the Remote at the same time until the Talon Selection LEDs on the Remote begin to scroll. After 2 seconds, release the buttons.
  3. Immediately press and hold the Up button and the Down button simultaneously on the Indicator Panel of one Talon. The Depth Indication LEDs will begin to flash blue on both Talons. Once the LEDs are flashing release the buttons on the Indicator Panel. The Talon and Remote will go into Pairing Mode for 20 seconds.
  4. If a tone with three fast beeps occurs, the Talon and Remote have successfully paired. If 20 seconds pass while in Pairing Mode and they do not successfully pair, an error tone will sound signaling that the Pairing has timed out.
  5. If the Pair is unsuccessful, repeat the process.
