The Lift Assist for the Terrova uses a flat coil spring to help take some of the weight of the Terrova to make it easier to deploy and stow the motor.
If the housing on the flat coil spring breaks, the spring may come out of the housing. In this case, the lift assist will need to be replaced by an Authorized Service Provider as they will have the specialized tool for replacing the Lift Assist.
