Clear Pairing from Raptors, Raptor Remotes, and Mobile Devices (2020-present)

The Raptor was designed so that all paired devices can be cleared from memory.

Clearing Paired Remotes or Devices from the Raptor

  1. Retract the anchor on the Raptor by pressing the Up button located on the Indicator Panel on the Pump Assembly.

  2. Turn the power to the Raptor "off" by removing the resettable Fuse located on the Raptor Power Cable.

  3. While holding in the Up button on the Indicator Panel, restore power to the Raptor. You will hear a long steady tone.
  4. After the steady tone stops, release the Up button. Wait a full 30 seconds. Remove the fuse to power cycle the Raptor again and then replace the fuse.
  5. The Raptor memory is now clear of all previously paired devices.

Clearing Paired Raptors from the Remote

Press and hold the Up button and the Down button on the Remote at the same time until the Anchor Selection LEDs and the Mode LED on the Remote begin to scroll red, green, red and red. Then release them. The Remote will go into Pairing Mode for 30 seconds. Once Pairing times out the paired Raptor will be cleared.

Clearing Paired Raptors from Android

  • Open the Bluetooth settings on the device.
  • A list of paired devices will appear.
  • On an Android device, select the Settings icon next to the device in the list of Paired Devices. When the next screen appears, find the option to Unpair the device and select it.
  • Once the device is unpaired or forgotten, the device is no longer paired or communicating with the device and will not be visible to the Raptor App or device.

Clearing Paired Raptors from iOS

  • Open the Bluetooth settings on the device.
  • A list of paired devices will appear.
  • On an iOS device, select the “i” icon next the the device in the list of My Devices. When the next Screen appears, find the option to Forget this Device and select it.
  • Once the device is unpaired or forgotten, the device is no longer paired or communicating with the device and will not be visible to the Raptor App or device.

Pairing Instructions for your remote or controller

Pairing two Raptors Together with a Raptor Remote

  1. Ensure that both of your Raptor pumps have had the memories cleared before pairing the two pumps together.
  2. After clearing the memory of both pumps, power cycle each pump one time.
  3. Make sure both Raptors are powered on and in the retracted position.
  4. Press the pair button on each pump. The blue LED's will begin to flash.
  5. The pumps will emit a triple-beep tone when pairing is successful.
  6. Within a couple of seconds will automatically go into port / starboard designation mode - both mode LED's on the pumps will turn green and begin to beep
  7. Press the up button on the pump that is connected to the Raptor mounted on the starboard side of the boat.
  8. The pairing of the two raptors together is now complete.
  9. Next, you will need to pair the remotes you wish to use to the dual Raptor system.

Pairing a Smart Phone to a Raptor Shallow Water Anchor

For iOS

To do this on an Apple iOS device, launch the Raptor app, and follow the on-screen setup guide instructions.

  1. The app will ask you if you’re setting up for one or two Raptors. If you’re setting up for two Raptors, both Raptors must first be paired together. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this procedure.
  2. Once this is complete, or if you’re only pairing a single Raptor to your iOS device, then select iOS Bluetooth Settings.
  3. Press the back arrow at the top left corner of the screen to access the settings menu.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Press the PAIR button on the pump of your Raptor. If you’re connecting the app to a dual Raptor installation, you only need to press the PAIR button on a single pump. The blue LED on the pump or pumps will begin to flash, indicating that the pumps are now discoverable by your device.
  6. Watch for Raptor to appear on your discoverable device list, and select it. When pairing is successful, the pump will emit a rapid triple-beep, indicating that pairing was successful. You can now return to the app and begin controlling your Raptor.

For Android

To do this on an Android device, launch the Raptor app, and follow the on-screen setup guide instructions.

Pairing a Humminbird Fishfinder to a Raptor Shallow Water Anchor

As part of the One-Boat Network, Raptor Shallow Water Anchors can link via Bluetooth to an i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link enabled Minn Kota trolling motor. View the entire process below:

  1. Before you begin, you’ll want to make sure that your i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link app, your i-Pilot Link controller, and your Raptor controller are all up to date using the latest software.
  2. To pair an i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link controller to your Raptor, start by pressing the pair button on the hydraulic pump of your Minn Kota Raptor. If you’re pairing a dual Raptor system, you only need to press the pair button on one pump. After pressing the pair button, the blue LED’s on the pumps will begin to flash.
    • The Raptor will now remain in pairing mode for 30 seconds.
  3. Immediately press and HOLD the pair button on the top of the i-Pilot Link controller, on the head of your trolling motor. As you do this, you’ll hear a steady tone coming from the i-Pilot Link controller.
  4. Continue HOLDING this button until the Raptor controller and i-Pilot Link controller emit a triple beep tone. This indicates that pairing was successful. If pairing is not successful within 30 seconds, you’ll hear an extended tone come from Raptor controller indicating that pairing mode has timed out.
