QUEST motors are able to show an error code on the Advanced GPS Navigation Remote and the One-Boat Network App. You need to have the App installed and your motor connected to the phone to view the codes. You can install the app after the motor has an issue and still view the error codes.

View Error Codes on the Advanced GPS Navigation Remote
If the trolling motor senses an error, it will send a signal to the Wireless Remote, and a red banner will appear on the display screen. Use the Diagnostic Menu to view the associated Error Code, and then reference the Error Code Table in this manual to resolve the error.
- Press the Menu button.
- Use the Speed Up or Speed Down button to find System. Use the Steer Right button to select System.
- In the System Menu, use the Speed Up or Speed Down button to find Diagnostic. Press the Steer Right button to select Diagnostic.
- Use the Speed Up or Speed Down button to find Error Codes. Press the Steer Right button to select Error Codes.
- If there is an Error Code, the Error Code will be displayed on the screen. Refer to the table below for a description of the Error Code.
- If there are no Error Codes to display, the display screen will show No Error Codes.
View QUEST Error Codes with the One-Boat Network App
If the trolling motor senses an error, it will send a signal to the One-Boat Network App, and a red banner will appear on the display screen. Tap Error Codes in the pop-up menu or use the Error Codes menu in Motor Settings to view the associated Error Code, and then reference the Error Code Table below to resolve the error.
- Tap Motor from the Home screen to access the Motor view.
- Tap the Menu icon in the top, right corner to open Motor Settings.
- In the Motor Settings menu, find and tap Error Codes.
- If there is an Error Code, the Error Code will be displayed on the screen. Refer to the table below for a description of the Error Code.
- If you cannot resolve/clear the error code with the below instructions, please see your local Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis
Download and Install the One-Boat Network App
You can download and install the One-Boat Network App on your Android or i-Phone by following the steps below. You can also navigate to the Play Store on Android and the App Store on i-Phone and then searching for "One Boat Network". To install the app, follow the instructions on your phone.

Welcome Screen | Creating an Account | Activate your Account
Welcome Screen
When you open the One-Boat Network app, the first screen you'll see is the Welcome screen. This screen provides you with a Next button and two main options: Create Account and Sign In.

- The Welcome screen has information about the One-Boat Network. You can use the Next button to scroll through the information and read about the One-Boat Network, Control, Service, and Updates.

Create Account
- If you haven't created a ChartSelect or One-Boat Network account yet, you'll want to use this option. It will guide you through the process of setting up a new ChartSelect account, which you can use with both the One-Boat Network app and the ChartSelect website.
- Make sure not to choose this option if you already have a ChartSelect account.

Sign In
- If you already have a ChartSelect or One-Boat Network account, you can use this option to sign in with your existing credentials.
Creating an Account
If you do not already have a One-Boat Network or ChartSelect ID, you can create an account directly from the One-Boat Network app.
- Tap Create Account from the One-Boat Network Launch screen.
- Use the on-screen keyboard to type in your account credentials.
- Select Review Terms of Use
- There are two agreements that must be read and accepted before you can create your account.
- Tap Create Account.
Activate your Account
- After you tap Create Account, you will receive an email with a 5-digit code.
- The email will be from "OneBoatNetwork@chartselect.net"
- If you do not see this email in your inbox (example below), please check your Spam or junk folder.
- Enter the 5 digit code on the Verify Email screen and tap on Verify Email
- You will be presented a screen showing ACCOUNT CREATION COMPLETE, and be prompted to pair your mobile device to a Bluetooth enabled Humminbird or Minn Kota product.
Pair the Mobile Device to the Trolling Motor
Once you have signed in to the One-Boat Network App, the app will walk you through connecting your mobile device to your Humminbird and Minn Kota devices.
- Enable Bluetooth on the Mobile Device
- Open the Settings menu.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Select On and keep the Bluetooth menu open and proceed to the next procedure.
- Enable Pairing Mode on the Trolling Motor: Press and hold the Pair PAIR button on the trolling motor Control Head. The trolling motor will emit a continuous tone while in Pairing Mode.
- Navigate to the Bluetooth Settings on your mobile device.
- Select “Minn Kota Controller 4.0” under the Bluetooth Device List. It may take a moment for the trolling motor to appear in the menu. Continue to hold the Pair button during this process.
- The trolling motor will emit 3 beeps when the pairing is successfully completed and you may release the Pair button. If 30 seconds pass while in Pairing Mode and they do not successfully pair, an error tone will sound from the trolling motor Control Head, signaling that the pairing has timed out. If unsuccessful, repeat the process.
