    Minn Kota motors come standard with everything you need to connect to select Humminbird fish finders. Link and control your trolling motor, shallow water anchor and fish finder through the One-Boat Network App on Apple® or Android™ devices.

  • Available Transducers
    The Ultrex motors have a built-in transducer. The transducers available are the Built-in Dual Spectrum Chirp (DSC), and MEGA Side Imaging (MSI). To connect your transducer to a fish finder, you may need an Adapter Cable. The compatibility charts for the transducers listed at the bottom of this page will help you determine if your fish finder is compatible and if you need an adapter cable.
    • Built-In MEGA Down Imaging
      With a transducer built right into the motor, you get crystal clear Humminbird® MEGA Down Imaging and a clean protected look.
    • Built-In Dual Spectrum Chirp Sonar
      Keeps your transducer and wiring completely concealed and protected running everything through the trolling motor's shaft. By covering a wide range of frequencies, Humminbird's CHIRP produces more accurate, more detailed returns of fish, structure and the bottom than traditional sonar.
  • Using the Ultrex with Lowrance and other Non-Humminbird Fish Finders
    Advanced GPS is not compatible with Lowrance and other non-Humminbird fish finders.Ultrex motors are equipped with Advanced GPS Navigation and can operate either connected to a compatible Humminbird or independently of a fish finder. The Advanced GPS remote works with the trolling motor, and provides features such as Spot-Lock, AutoPilot, and Cruise Control. By connecting to a Humminbird Fishfinder, you will unlock additional features such as follow a Contour and Circle Mode.

Ultrex Specifications (brushed motors)

  • Available Thrust and Voltage Options
    Like the Ulterra, the Ultrex is available in 80 and 112 lbs of thrust and performs just as well as the Fortrex, Maxxum, and Edge motors. The 80 lb thrust Ultrex is a 24 volt motor. The 112 lb thrust Ultrex is a 36 volt motor. We do not offer a 12 volt Ultrex.
  • Available Shaft Lengths
    The Ultrex is available in shaft lengths of 45", 52", and 60". The shaft diameter is 1 1/4" The shaft on the Ultrex cannot be lengthened as it would be cost prohibitive. The shaft can be shortened. If the shaft is shortened at an Authorized Service Center, it will not void your warranty. If the shaft is shortened outside of an Authorized Service Center, the warranty will be voided.
  • Motor Control Options
    The Ultrex is controlled with either a foot pedal or a handheld remote.
  • Ultrex Foot Pedal Dimensions
    Minn Kota has worked with the major boat manufacturers to ensure the Ultrex foot pedal will fit into the majority of all foot pedal wells. The dimensions of the Ultrex foot pedal are 12.5" long x 9" wide.
  • Mounting Holes
    All Ultrexes with a brushed motor have the same mounting hole patterns as our cable-steer motors for easy interchangeability between cable-steer trolling motors and upgrading from another cable-steer motor like the Fortrex to the Ultrex.
  • Shipping Weight
    The weight of the Ultrex can vary based on the options on the motor. Below are the weights by motor thrust, shaft length, and transducer option (DSC or MDI). The shipping weights are listed in the charts below.
