QUEST Steering Calibration Process (Instinct, Ulterra, and Terrova QUEST models only)

Jump to:

Error Code 3.12F

This error code is the end-of-limit settings being out of range, typically this means the Left-Right Calibration on the steering has not been done. The most likely reason this is going to come up is that the process got missed on the production line. With software that reports error codes, it is going to be exceptionally difficult for the production line to miss this step going forward, but on existing motors that got past the tester without this step, it will be impossible for the user to ignore. Attempt the left-right steering calibration before replacing.

  • These steps are for all Electric Steer QUEST Motors (this does not include the Ultrex QUEST)
  • The motor must be deployed with the ability to steer all the way around unobstructed.
  • The motor must be powered off to start the process.
