Installing the Circuit Breaker MKR-27 and MKR-19

The Circuit Breaker MKR-27, item number 1865115, and Circuit Breaker MKR-19, item number 1865106, are 60 amp circuit breakers designed to work with Minn Kota trolling motors. They protect boat trolling motor wiring from electrical damage and feature a 60 amp rating with manual reset. They are fully waterproof and compatible with all 12-, 24- and 36-volt systems.

Installation

The circuit breaker is installed on the positive battery lead wire coming from the trolling motor to the battery(ies).

  1. Determine a suitable mounting location for the Circuit Breaker in your boat. (We recommend installing the breaker as close as possible to the battery / batteries.)
  2. Mount the Circuit Breaker using the two holes in the breaker base. (Mounting hardware not included.)
  3. Connect the trolling motors positive (+) power cable to the terminal marked “AUX” on the Circuit Breaker.
  4. Connect the Circuit Breaker terminal marked “BAT” to the positive (+) battery post.
