Error Code 3.12 – Steering Calibration Required

Description
Error Code 3.12 indicates the steering end‑of‑limit values are out of range. In most cases, this means the left‑right steering calibration was not completed.

Cause

  • Most commonly caused by a missed steering calibration step during production.
  • Newer motors include software safeguards to prevent this from being skipped.
  • Some existing motors may have passed testing without calibration, which will trigger this error and cannot be bypassed by the end user.

Required Action
Before replacing any components, perform the left‑right steering calibration.

  • All Electric Steer QUEST motors
  • Does not apply to Ultrex QUEST
